Providing food & nutritional education to help school age children and their families succeed.
Our Programs
Our Goal
Ensure no child in the Yankton School District goes hungry and is on the path to success in their future.
Yankton Food for Thought collaborates with the Yankton School District to serve those who are at risk of hunger within in the district.

We are always open to new ideas and partnerships to meet our mission. Reach out if you'd like to connect and learn more.
Our Needs
Community support - YOUR support - is crucial
to meeting the challenge of hunger in Yankton's youth and families.
Volunteer
Get a group together to pack sacks for an hour. Help deliver those packs to our schools. Organize food boxes for the school food pantry. Teach a food education workshop.

These are just a few of the ways you can volunteer as much or as little time as you're able. Every hour spent and every person pitching in helps us keep our children from experiencing hunger.
Donate Financially
Our programs are free to families who are food insecure so we rely solely on community members' donations, grants, and our United Way of Greater Yankton partnership.

Please consider a one-time or recurring gift to ensure our programs continue to be available to our children and families in need.
